Op 21 november komen wapenhandelaren in Rotterdam Ahoy samen met vertegenwoordigers van de staat en het leger om hun meest recente vernietigende technologie ten toon te stellen en te verkopen op de 35e jaarlijkse NIDV Exhibition Defence and Security wapenbeurs.

Wij roepen alle krachten voor rechtvaardigheid, bevrijding, vrede en gelijkheid op om zich bij ons aan te sluiten in de confrontatie met deze bijeenkomst van oorlogsstokers en oorlogsprofiteurs.

Het afgelopen jaar is dodelijk geweest. We blijven getuige zijn van escalerend imperialistisch geweld en staatsfascisme - de voortdurend genocide in Palestina en de uitbreiding van de zionistische oorlog naar Libanon; Saudi-Arabië, de VK en de VS blijven Jemen bombarderen; oorlog en genocide in Soedan en Congo; luchtaanvallen gebruikt door de Fascistische President Marcos om inheemse gemeenschappen te onderdrukken in de Filipijnen woedt na twee jaar nog steeds, waarbij de NAVO dit gebruikt om expansie en militarisme in Europa door te drukken.

De wereldwijde oorlogen, de militarisering van onze grenzen en samenlevingen en de repressie van onze bewegingen zijn afhankelijk van het apparaat van de wapenindustrie - om dodelijkere wapens en geavanceerdere surveillance te ontwikkelen.

De NEDS 2024 wapenbeurs benadrukt het betrekken van de maatschappij bij de verantwoordelijkheid van zogenaamde “defensie”.

Terwijl het geld voor sociale voorzieningen (huisvesting, gezondheidszorg, onderwijs) blijft worden omgeleid naar militaire uitgaven, wil de overheid nu burgers ronselen met hun oorlogspropaganda.

Wij verwerpen dit volledig, we weigeren medeplichtig te zijn aan hun misdaden en we staan samen voor rechtvaardigheid en bevrijding, voor een wereld vrij van staatsterreur en voor bewegingsvrijheid en gelijkheid voor iedereen.

Sluit je op 21 november bij ons aan in protest tegen deze wapenbeurs. Mobiliseer je gemeenschap, je buren en vrienden, je medestudenten of collega's, je collectieven. We verzetten ons als één!

Terwijl wapenbedrijven en regeringen nieuwe contracten tekenen, tekenen ze de dood van talloze mensenlevens. Wij zeggen: niet in onze naam, niet met ons belastinggeld, we kunnen en zullen niet zwijgen wanneer de wereld lijdt omwille van het behouden van imperialistische macht en winst!

The wars around the world, the militarisation of our borders and societies and the repression of our movements rely upon the apparatus of the arms industry - to develop more deadly weapons and more sophisticated surveillance.

The NEDS 2024 arms fair is pushing a message of engaging civil society in the responsibility of so -called “defence“.

We have been through decades of austerity, as money for social services (housing, healthcare, education) continues to be diverted to military spending the government now want to rope citizens into their war agenda.

We reject that completely, we refuse to be complicit in their crimes, and we stand together for justice and liberation, For a world free from state terror and for freedom of movement and equality for all.
