As students all around the world are excited for the start of the new academic year, the students of Gaza no longer have access to education as they are still living through the horror of this genocide. Their universities and schools have been bombed. Their professors, teachers, and classmates have been murdered. Their academic dreams have been demolished.
After eleven months of genocide and horror, Maastricht University still refuses to take a stand in favor of Palestine and actively funds Israeli institutions.
Let’s march through the streets of Maastricht in solidarity with the people of Gaza, to remind everyone that we will not be silent until every student, teacher, professor, and every human being’s safety in Gaza is restored.
